Achievements

 

Started in 1995 with the vision of spreading the art of tabla

 

1500+ students have learnt tabla under the guidance of Shri Munjal Mehta

 

100+ students awarded with the degree of "Sangeet Visharad" [Bachelor of Music]

 

10 students have received  a scholarship from "Centre for Cultural Resource and Training", approved by Central Government of India

 

2 students have received a scholarship from "Gujarat Rajya Sangeet Natak Academy", approved by Gujarat State Government

 

10 students have won a prize in the "Pt Omkarnath Thakur Shashtriya Sangeet Spardha", a state level music competition

 

1 student has won the "Pt Nandan Mehta Shastriya Taal Vadya Spardha", a national level music competition

 

Many students have secured prize winning positions in state level and national level youth festivals

 

Tabla Talim Sanstha held the Guinness World Record for the "Largest Hand Drum Ensemble" where 315 students played tabla for 1 hr and 18 minutes, in April 2011. Other world records which were simultaneously awarded by other institutions -

10 students from Tabla Talim Sanstha entertained the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and his guests Chinese President Xi Jinping and the first lady of China, at the Sabarmati riverfront, Ahmedabad in September 2014

For a noble cause - 

 

  • Students organized a charity concert for the victims of the Uttarakhand floods and raised INR 1,14,000

 

  • Students organized a blood donation camp in association with Indian Red Cross Society where 77 bottles of blood were collected
